Privacy Policy

Overview

Rally helps pickleball players discover courts, coordinate play, join leagues and groups, and connect with other players. This Privacy Policy explains what information Rally collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, date of birth or age, city, DUPR rating, profile avatar, and other profile details you choose to provide.

Photos and media. Rally supports a profile photo gallery (up to three photos), group photos, and court photos or reviews you upload.

Social and activity information. We collect information about follows, direct messages, group and league chat messages, league membership and attendance, court attendance and invitations, user-created groups and leagues, and interactions such as blocking and reporting.

Contacts. Rally does not access your device contacts automatically. If you choose Invite from Contacts while inviting someone to a group, Rally accesses contacts only at that moment so you can select a person to invite. Rally does not upload your entire contacts list to our servers.

Nearby player discovery. If you opt in, Rally uses foreground location while you are using the app to help you discover nearby players. Location is collected only with your permission, used for nearby discovery while the feature is enabled, and stored in an approximate or coarsened form rather than precise real-time tracking.

Notifications. If you enable notifications, we collect and store push notification tokens and related delivery information needed to send alerts you request.

Technical and usage information. We collect information needed to operate Rally, such as device type, app version, log data, and basic usage information related to features you use.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to create and maintain your account; display your profile and content; power court discovery, attendance, invitations, leagues, groups, messaging, and nearby player features; deliver notifications you enable; enforce community standards; improve Rally's reliability and performance; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. Rally does not sell your personal information.

How Information Is Shared

Information you make visible in Rally may be seen by other users according to the feature and your settings. For example, profile details, photos, court activity, league participation, messages, and nearby discovery status may be visible to other players when you use those features.

We share information with service providers that help us operate Rally, including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage services. These providers process information on our behalf to host Rally and store user content such as photos and messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Rally, our users, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Storage and Data Retention

Rally stores account data, messages, photos, and related content using Supabase and associated cloud infrastructure. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Rally, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and security retention needs.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by Rally. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Privacy Settings

You can update profile information, manage photo and profile visibility, control whether age and DUPR are shown, enable or disable nearby player discovery, manage notification preferences, block other users, report content or behavior, and delete your account through Rally settings where available. You can also control location and notification permissions through your device settings.

Children

Rally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Rally, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of Rally after the effective date of an updated policy means you accept the revised policy.
